Editorial Policy

How we research, write, review, and update the guides on FixWindowsHub.

Last updated: June 29, 2026

Trust is earned. This editorial policy describes the standards every guide on FixWindowsHub is held to.

Independence

FixWindowsHub is editorially independent. We do not accept payment in exchange for coverage, recommendations, or favorable placement. Sponsored content, if ever published, is labeled clearly and is separate from our editorial work.

Sources we trust

  • Official Microsoft Learn and Microsoft Support documentation
  • Microsoft Security Response Center advisories
  • Vendor documentation (Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, Samsung, etc.) for hardware-specific guidance
  • Hands-on reproduction in our Windows 10 22H2 and Windows 11 23H2/24H2 test environments
  • Peer-reviewed observations from senior engineers in our network

Authorship

Every article is attributed to a named human author with verifiable credentials and a public author profile. Author bylines include relevant certifications and years of experience.

Review process

  1. Draft is written by a domain author.
  2. A Microsoft-certified technical reviewer verifies every procedure.
  3. A copy editor checks clarity, accessibility, and structure.
  4. Articles are published with a clearly displayed publication and "last reviewed" date.

Updates and corrections

Pillar guides are re-reviewed at least once per year, and immediately whenever Microsoft ships a change that affects a documented procedure. We log substantive updates in the article's revision history. To report an error, email [email protected]; verified corrections are made within five business days.

AI assistance disclosure

We may use AI tools to support research, copy editing, and code formatting. AI does not generate technical claims published on this site. Every technical instruction is verified by a human engineer.

Where comments are enabled, we moderate for spam, abuse, and misinformation. We welcome respectful technical disagreement.
